Happy Monday, everyone! I hope you find this post both informative and inspiring.
I recently came across an incredible story filled with valuable insights, and I couldn't resist sharing it in case you find it helpful too. It’s a reminder of the challenges many of us face in our fast-paced world, where feelings of detachment and fatigue can leave us feeling less than fulfilled. As someone who studies life coaching and prevention strategies, I often ponder potential solutions and suggestions.
Today, I discovered the term “languishing” for the first time, thanks to Corey Keyes. His book is now on my must-read list! I was so captivated by his ideas during my morning routine that I nearly fell over in my boat wanting to rewind and absorb every word.
Let’s talk about the book!
Languishing: How to Feel Alive Again in a World That Wears Us Down, thoughtfully offers a roadmap for reclaiming our energy and zest for life.
During this Podcast -( I throw these on when I am paddling) I was floored how well he communicated life strategies. Telling stories matters, because this humanizes things and allows us to relate, no matter who we are or where we come from.
One of the highlights from his podcast that really struck me was the emphasis on the importance of having fun. We often forget how essential joy is in our lives... A listen of the podcast will highlight the importance of finding fun if it has taken a backseat in your life!
Have an incredible week,

PS- While both dogs and humans are motivated by rewards, Jax here loves his treats. When I challenge myself I put a reward system in place.
The nature of the reward depends on my training or the day. Yesterday was a walk at the park and a nice meal to follow, capping off with an espresso ( my favourite)
